The Age newspaper has recently reported that con-men are targeting the Victoria fire ravaged areas approaching residents offering “One Off” specials on trade services such as painting, plastering, fencing and carpet cleaning. Tradespeople are approaching customers indicating that they can complete the repairs and asking for a cash deposit to secure the commitment.

 

It is important that customers ask for the appropriate ID when being approached by trades during their repairs and if you are at all unsure, please call your Case Manager on 1300 737 454 to confirm that the person is a qualified representative of Power Partners. Your Case Manager and the trade should always make prior arrangements with you before being present onsite.
